The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a new organization dedicated to solving the world’s trash problems.
We’ve dubbed ourselves with this title to serve several purposes:
1. To serve as a constant reminder to us and others, just how large a scope this issue is.
2. A fun play on what some consider to be an urban myth. There’s magic and hope in myth.
3. The domain is straight to the point and hadn’t yet been taken. So we adopted it for this great cause.
We are a startup organization of environmentalists, ecopreneurs, scientists, tech-geeks, and dot-commers; founded by Jedi Wright.
